# Wattcast > Free, no-signup web app at https://wattcast.app that forecasts the weather along a cycling route at your moving position. From a start time, average speed and stops, it predicts where you will be at each point of the ride and shows the wind (relative to your heading), temperature, rain risk and sun times there, rather than the weather for a single fixed location. ## What makes it distinctive - Forecasts the weather for your moving position along the route, not just the start point: "the weather for where you'll actually be." - A "best time to leave" departure scrubber re-forecasts the whole ride at other start times instantly. - Headwind/tailwind shown relative to your direction of travel at each point. ## How it works - Upload a GPX, TCX or FIT file, or paste a public Strava or RideWithGPS route link. - Weather is fetched client-side in the browser from SMHI and Open-Meteo; nothing about a route is logged server-side. - Free, no account, runs in the browser, installable as a PWA. Available in English and Swedish, metric and imperial. ## Links - [Wattcast app](https://wattcast.app/)
